Attempting to avoid the clichˇ: 
"I've never felt this way before."
But it's true, I haven't.
How else can I say that
and not sound trite?
"Words cannot express my feelings..."
then why am I even
bothering to use them?  

What can I do to express
myself in your absence? 
A kiss by e-mail,
a long-distance hug,
words to express that you
"Are in my thoughts,"
a prayer for safety, 
and a promise for the future:
We'll meet again!
