Sitting on a Dock on the  River Shannon

Deep blue and gold satin ripples
A bridge over the River Shannon
And a boat named Tristan.  
Slight gurgling under the dock
Where I sit:
Alone.
A chilling breeze
A sign the says "Emerald Star"
I don't know what that refers to.  
It's not the place, though.
